Privacy Policy
How VocaTR handles app data, feedback, reminders, and privacy requests.
VocaTR is a vocabulary learning app that helps users study English words, review missed words, track learning progress, and build a daily study habit.
This Privacy Policy explains what information VocaTR collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Study progress and app preferences
VocaTR stores learning data on your device so the app can work properly. This may include:
- Words you have studied
- Words marked as known or missed
- Seen count, correct count, and missed count
- Last studied dates
- Daily study statistics
- Study settings such as selected level, study mode, study direction, session size, daily goal, pronunciation mode, theme, accent color, language, haptics, and reminder settings
This information is used to show your progress, continue your study sessions, and personalize the app experience.
Feedback and support messages
If you send feedback, report a bug, or suggest a word correction from inside the app, we may collect:
- The message you write
- Feedback type, such as feedback, bug report, or correction suggestion
- App name
- App version and build number
- App language
- Platform
- Submission time
We use this information to respond to issues, improve the app, and correct content problems.
Device and app information
VocaTR may use limited technical information to keep the app working, configure features, and understand app compatibility. This may include:
- Platform, such as iOS
- App version
- Build number
- App language or locale
- Time zone
- Anonymous app or device identifiers used by app services
We do not ask you to create a personal account.
Notifications
VocaTR can send daily study reminders if you enable notifications.
Reminder settings, such as whether reminders are enabled and the selected reminder time, are stored so the app can schedule reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings or inside the app.
Speech recognition
VocaTR includes an optional speaking practice mode. If you use this feature, the app may request microphone and speech recognition permission.
Speech recognition is used only to check whether the word you said matches the expected answer. VocaTR does not store your audio recordings or upload your audio recordings to our own servers.
You can use the app without speaking mode by choosing manual answer mode.
Purchases
If premium features are offered, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. VocaTR does not receive or store your full payment card information.
